Good news…and let’s face it, we could all do with some from time to time.  As part of our ongoing commitment to you we are now able to pass on a saving of £4 (and yes, we know it’s small, but, and to steal a well used phrase, every little helps) on your annual gas safety certificate.

You will be aware that any property where there is a gas supply has to have an annual check by a Gas Safe Approved engineer.  This is something we have always organised on behalf of our tenants via our approved engineer.  We will be continuing to use the same contractors but have negotiated a very small decrease in his fee due to the volume of work we give them. At a time when costs to Landlords are on the increase across the industry, we are extremely pleased to be able to pass this small saving on to you.

You may be wondering why we’ve bother to make such a song and dance about this. The reason is that this £4 saving is representative of how we manage your property. We strongly believe that by keeping the cost of maintenance as low as we can and not adding any kickback or mark up to the invoices from our contractors, we are able to offer both you and your tenants a better service.  Plus because we don’t take kickbacks, we choose our contractors based on the quality of their work and not how much of a back hander they will give us.

It’s vital that maintenance is dealt with promptly and to a high standard. Small problems are less likely to become enormous problems and your tenants will remain happy because they know when they report an issue they are not left waiting for weeks or months for a resolution.
