Ah February, the month of true love.  With all relationships though, the pathway is not always strewn with rose petals so what do you do when things breakdown.  In the lines of the famous song we have a suggestion….”Make it easy on yourself”

What are we referring to here?  Sadly, we know that some of you have property with other Agents and are not overly happy with the service that you are getting.  2019 saw an unprecedented rise in the amount of business we gained from our existing landlords as a direct result of that dissatisfaction.  We also know that sometimes the procedure for extricating yourself from your contract is just too messy and involved to bother with.  The costs and terms of release are more trouble to you that the state of the relationship, it’s just easier to leave it alone and persevere so you continue on together hoping that things will improve.

At Anglo American we would sincerely hope that if you ever feel that unhappy about something we have done, you could come to us for a chat, we could put things right and you would be glad you had spoken to us.  Knowing that making that first move and having those conversations can be difficult we would like you to be aware that we can act on your behalf to negotiate your release from any contracts you may have elsewhere.  All you would need to do is to email your current Agent and explain that we will be contacting them and have your permission to do so.  We will then speak directly with your Agent and arrange to take over the management of any property you have mentioned.  In most cases, a transfer is made when a tenancy comes to its natural end but if you have a long term tenant in your property we can also arrange to take over that tenant with minimal fuss and no disruption to the tenant.   There may be costs involved but we will do our best to minimise these.  Dependent on those costs and the terms of the transfer to us we may be able to remove them altogether.
